Blue Sky Roofing History
The Blue Sky Roofing family has deep roots in Vermont, as seventh generation Vermonters and two generations directly involved in the company’s operations, we’re committed to the development of the region, and we’re here to stay. The company’s history in Vermont’s construction industry dates back to 1955 when Adrien Thibault founded White Pine Development in Chittenden County. As President of the Vermont Homebuilders and Remodelers Association for several years, Adrien played a pivotal role in shaping Vermont’s building industry into what it is today.
In 1995, Adrien’s grandson, Matt Gazo, entered the roofing and homebuilding sector, founding Gazo Construction and Blue Sky Roofing. His dedication earned him accolades such as Vermont’s Remodeler of the Year Award and the Better Homes Silver Award in 2005, followed by the Better Homes Condominium Winner Award in 2006. During this time, Matt grew Blue Sky Roofing into the premier roofing contractor in Vermont, committing to high end customer service and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Matt’s son, Leland, worked with Blue Sky Roofing as an installer and project manager throughout high school and college. Afterward, Leland expanded his expertise with some of the largest commercial roofing companies along the east coast, managing projects for renowned clients such as Boeing, Harvard, Logan Airport, MIT, and various property management companies and school districts.
Since its founding in 1995, Blue Sky Roofing has installed hundreds of roofs across Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire, operating primarily through referrals.. When you choose to work with Blue Sky, you’ll quickly understand why so many Vermonters recommend us to their families, friends, and neighbors.
